About Bhavani (Mary Denise)
I am a transformational artist and writer of soul thoughts. I am offering a search light for the Unraveling and Ripening Soul as it makes its journey home to the Heart and Realization of its True Self.
Mary Denise enjoys living in a 1927 vintage home with her partner Bruce and dog Forest. Their vintage home overlooks Lake Macatawa, which during the 1830's was home to a village of 300 Ottawa Native Americans. She has lots of kids and grand kids with stories to go along and that’s another blog. Loves Vintage, especially anything form the 40's! Never uses recipes and loves walking in the dark...
As a transformational artist and writer Mary Denise's work focuses primarily on her own Souls Journey through life and how she can authentically express what she feels and sees by her own unique art expressions and ways with words. She stays open to a variety of multi mediums to express her soul-felt visions. Beneath her house lies a cozy Art Cave, here she keeps a well stocked pantry of "artish findables" along with all the other more usual artist tools...
Aiding the unraveling process is keeping a keen eye out for the small, the unlikely and the beautiful treasure or oddity that will later be implanted into one of her future Creations maybe a collage or Sacred Altar piece, a dream drawing or could be a poem/story...who knows.
Daily practices of Unraveling and Ripening are very important process work and play! and consist of spontaneous and inspired "shorty" poems and stories, even just a "soul sentence" or word can be enough. She is known to invent "new words". Something gets drawn daily with pastel chalks, even if it takes only 1 minute. These pieces spring forth from some place of inner knowing and a desire to see it take on a shape. Daily dream decoding by writing and simple art pictures in a journal is also key in unraveling and ripening process..Special ongoing project include the construction and decoration of sacred Altars.
To Mary Denise these artful practices are good Art Hygiene, you don’t want plaque forming, especially in the heart.
The very natural unforcing to relax into the unraveling and ripening is the ultimate transformational creative expression that really is the Art. The prize for letting go is integration, deep healing and freedom from suffering.
She likes to say that "artfilled~dismantlement"can be a fairly fast, simple and accurate practice, the key is to practice, procrastination leads to a "Creative Stoppage" that shows up as depression, restlessness, displaced boredom, grumpy sadness and unrelease from all that is hidden..
